The Rollei 35 Gold with Tessar 3,5/ 40mm

This is the Rollei 35 Gold, produced by Rollei Germany from November 1970 until the end of 1971. Celebrating 50 years Rollei. A total of only 1500 cameras was made. All parts of this camera are Gold plated with the exception of the chrome lens barrel.

Camera weight is 370 grams. Size 97x32x60mm.

Serial numbers somewhere between 3.000.201 - 3.311.000.

The Rollei 35 Gold was delivered with lens cap, real African Lizard leather case,  hand strap and multi lingual manual all presented in a wooden box.

Interesting to know is that at in December 1971 also a special Singapore model was made:
A black Rollei 35 with brown Alligator-printed leather. This was made in 4,000 pieces for HERTIE, a German Department Store (at the time, they owned Rollei) and 1,000 pieces for the US market. This was at the same time this GOLDEN Rollei 35 was made in Germany.
