Rollei Consumer Flash Strobes

The consumer line of flashes made by Rollei Germany & Singapore was sold under the name Rollei, Honeywell, Reporter, and many others.

The first line of E series was a classic design ,with a chrome plated front cap. The model designations refer mostly to the GN at 18 DIN (50ASA), where the addition of the letter C means that this model has computer controlled flash output.

Both flashes take 4 AA batteries or NC for 70 (E134B) or 70-1500 flashes (E134REB), interval 10sec (batteries, full power), 6sec (NC, full power), 134BC: 0.3-10 sec (Vario Computer setting). Measurements (WDH): 75x64x127mm, weight 290 grams (134B) 300 grams (134REB). These flases were also made for and labeled with diffrent brand names, such as Porst, Neckermann, Cavalier, Kamero, Voigtländer, Inter Flash.

100XL and 100XLC: 2 AA batteries for 200 flashes, 6 sec. interval. Measurements (WDH): 58x61x37mm, weight 100 grams.

# 465050 Voigtländer V200 auto, 1978-1981, Singapore, 50,000 pieces. GN 14 at 21DIN, 2 AAA batteries for 200 flashes - interval 6 sec., duration 1/2500-1/30,000 sec. Measurements (WDH): 27x83x36mm, weight 70 grams.


Rollei 20 REB, special flash unit  delivered only in sets with Rollei 35 Classic cameras between 1990 and 1996. Comes in gray with silver or gold print. GN 20 at 21 DIN, AA batteries for 45-200 flashes, interval 0.5-16sec., flash duration 1/500-1/50000 sec. Made in Japan, measurements (WDH): 50x45x90mm, weight 100 grams.

# 104403 Beta 3, 1979-1981, Sankyo Japan, computer controlled. Uses 2 AA batteries for 75-200 flashes, GN 22 at 21DIN, s f-stops possible. Measurements (WDH): 101x64x43mm, weight 184 grams.

# 104405 Beta 5, 1981, 4,500 pieces, Rollei Germany & Singalore. GN 34 at 21 DIN. 8 f-stop computer, detachable reflector while  sensor follows movement, external power and sensor optional. Range 2' to 270', 4 AA batteries or NC for 100-700 flashes at a 0.9-10 sec interval. Measurements (WDH): 153x87x58mm, weight 450 grams.

External power supply and sensor optional. 4 NC batteries for 45-500 flashes, 1/500-1/50000sec duration, 0.5-6sec interval. Measurements (WDH): 283x87x58mm with grip, weight 875 grams.

# 104409 Beta 5F, 1981, 250 pieces only, Rollei Germany & Singapore. Same specifics as Beta 5, but uses camera sensor of SL2000 and SL3001, 3003.
