Later models have a shutter release safety lock. The following parts of his model can be modernized to 1955 standard: waist level finder, larger focusing knob, double exposure safety lock, viewing lens bayonet, X-sync contact.

Also useable without modifications: Rolleimarin 2 under water housing and all current accessories.

Models from 1931-1934 have no exposure guide on the back, and none of all models can be modernized.

Reportedly, but not clearly documented by Rollei, about 1,000 more of this camera model have been built in war time from 1941 - 1943 with serial from 850.000.
This camera model could be used with a glass plate film adapter; but it can not be modernized.
