I believe the www.sl66.com is the most comprehensive and most influence website currently available in the net, for the Rollei SL66 system.
I learn everything about the SL66 system from the website, the Camera, Lenses, History ...... especially the SL66 classic camera and 80mm/2.8 Planar, because that is my only Rollei lens at this moment.
Btw, in the www.sl66.com Lens Details page, i found some discrepancy in the sentence, which is believe is a typo error, I write a message to the Webmaster but no reply from him.
This is what i read at the Lens Details page for 80mm/2.8
(Picture from www.sl66.com]
"The picture at left shows a newer version of the 50mm Distagon with HFT coating. This is a very rare HFT coated lens which actually is a pre-production run by Carl Zeiss. Only about 10 of these lenses are known to have been made. All other HFT coated 80mm lenses are engraved "Rollei HFT" and have been made in license of Carl Zeiss by Rollei."

I'm a bit of confuse here. What the above sentence described is for 50mm Distagon lens or 80mm Planar lens ?
It's can be either one.
But if you read further, at the bottom of the page, they list the production years of every versions of lens:
The lens existed in 4 versions:
1. 1966-1971 Carl Zeiss, single coating
2. 1971 Carl Zeiss, HFT coating (a few only)
3. 1972-1982 Rollei, HFT, silver diaphragm ring
4. 1982-1995 Rollei, HFT, black diaphragm ring &
.....E-ring coupler
Item no. 2 stated that "1971 Carl Zeiss, HFT coating (a few only)", is this the solid evidence that what is the above mean is Carl Zeiss Planar 80mm/2.8 HFT not the 50mm Distagon ? so it's mean only 10 nos of Pre-Production version of Carl Zeiss Planar 80mm/2.8 HFT existed ?
Why i'm so concern above this ? Because the only lens that i have is
Carl Zeiss Planar 80mm/2.8 HFT
Is that mean i'm owned a rarest lens in the Rollei history ?
