Film 120 and cutting

I just bought a grey baby on impulse. I can see there are supplies of 127 film around.
I like Portra, which I can only get in 120. I notice some people cut 120 down to fit 127, how?
I can envisage nothing but disaster trying to do this, scratched film, crooked dimensions etc. So how exactly do you attempt this?

Kevin.

My first idea would be to run a google search
http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&sourc ... .5.6-1l7l0
ignore the first commercial listings and follow the links to the folks who claim to run film slitters in the proper size (here or there one has to scroll down).

Haven't done it myself, still using old material.
