Hello. I have recently purchased a Prego 145 that I had found at a second hand store for $2.50...that's right...$2.50! They obviously did not know what they had, and priced and placed it with common point-and-shoot compact 35's. I replaced the dead batteries and the camera is in beautiful condition.
It powers-up fine and the electronics work, as well as the film loading mechanism. However, the lens attempts to zoom out when I press the telephoto button, and it remains stuck at the 38mm position. I have removed the small black screws around the unit, but am reluctant to remove the sections from the housing for fear of breaking any of the plastic tabs or anything else for that matter. Please help me as how to disassemble the camera and free the lens.
Thank you!
