Bay III filters do not fit - please help.

I have a Rolleiflex 2.8 F ser.# 2436569 with 80mm 2.8 Planar and all the charts I have seen indicate that it would fit Bay III filters and other attachments. So now I have a collection of filters, Rolleinars, etc. all Bay III and none of them fit. Not even the Rolleiflash. Only the Bay III rubber lens hood fits because it mounts on the outside flanges. One filter marked "38Ø" seemed like it would fit but after I put it on, I discovered it would not come off without inordinate effort (and risk to all).

Is something broken or distorted? I do not see any damage around the rim of the lenses. Do I have an odd model that takes a different size - I have not tried any Bay II accessories. Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Can you supply pictures of your camera, especially of the filter mount?

No fooling, this is really a problem. The BayIII filters are just slightly too big. I'll attach a photo of the front of the camera. Perhaps it is something obvious to someone who knows. Thank you for your response,

Looks good to me. And your filters are regular Rollei B III filters?

Yes. They are all F&H filters or attachments, marked either Bay III or 38mm.

Part of the bayonet mount may have become bent, after a fall or other trauma (in the pictures there seems to be a big scratch on the mount of the taking lens). In that case nothing will fit and the mount will have to be replaced
