Rolleicord film Advance

Have just acquired a rolleicord Va type2, unfortunately it has been fitted with a 16 frame counter and I want to shoot 6x6 . Have searched in vain for a 12 film count wheel. I have two questions
1. Can someone point me in the direction of a source of the 12 film count wheel

2. As the rolleicord film advance is not linked to shutter loading is there a work around of getting a 24 count wheel and advance by two between shots. Will this work, has anyone tied it?

Not that easy as the film advance stops at a predetermined point and then the shutter has to activate before it can be wound further. Have thought of a work around for those that do not have a 12 counter but want to shoot 6x6. take out the masks, use a 24 count gear, take picture 1, advance, fit lens cap and activate shutter, wind on and take picture, and so on.
