Old Rolleiflex and Rolleifix

Postby kwm » Wed Nov 04, 2015 2:09 am

My Rolleiflex K4A (series 1) is my main-shooter. The tripod-mount has no grooves for the Rolleifix. According to the Rollei Repair-Manual the appropriate part is called "lash cap" On ebay I saw a lash-cap with this grooves. That leads my to some questions:

Can I change the lash-cap?

How can this be done?

Any help appreciated

Can you do it? Who knows ...

Could I do it? Probably not.

Could anybody else do it? With a little luck/magic and/or in case he drills/grinds away the rivets holding that "bar" across the internal screw holding the lash and later on replaces them.

Other ideas? A complete new back with that groove ... (maybe from a 3,5B, maybe other backs will fit (too). This will need a little research.)
