Identifying older Rolleicord

Postby agaspar » Wed Feb 17, 2016 12:55 am

Hello,

I have a Rolleicord that I am trying to identify. I am presuming that it is circa WW II. It has the ROLLEICORD nameplate at the top with DRP under it on the left and DRGM on the right; in between the number is a little unclear, but it appears to be 699821 or 899821, The taking lens is marked "Carl Zeis Jena Nr 2481592 Triotar 1:3,5 f = 7,5cm". It has a bayonet mount. It looks like a Rolleicord IIc Model 4, but its 1:3,2 f =7,5cm finder lens is a Heidoscop - Astigmat rather than a Heidosmat, and I don't see any emblem in the hood. Thanks for your help.

It's a pre war Rolleicord, and maybe it still works ("FINE!") and maybe not ("It needs CLA!").

Maybe it's a IIc 4th model, maybe it's a IIb? So what ('s the difference)?
Who knows, and who cares? What is the benefit of knowing, what is the disadvantage of not knowing?

It does still work. I've owned it for over 50 years, found this site, and was curious.

In order for any of us here to help, we'd need good pictures of the camera in question ... (or you need a "Rollei Report 2" by Claus Prochnow).
