Rolleiflex 3.5E lens hood help please.

Hello,
I have just purchased my second Rolleiflex TLR, it is a second edition of the 3.5E and I am perplexed that I can not have a filter on both lenses and have a lens hood on the taking lens as well.
The distance between the two lenses is very small compared with my other model.
I presume I am not the only one with this issue, so was wondering what if any fixes anyone came up with.
I am considering grinding down the hood, also considering using a Rollinar viewing lens, I could remove the glass and replace the rear element with plain glass and machine it down to a shorter length.
I want to protect the viewing lens and use a lens hood.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Cheers,
James.

I'd try to relax and not use a filter on the viewing lens. If that is "impossible", I'd rather grind down an H1 or a UV filter for the viewing lens so it does not get in the way of the taking lens's shade (than killing a Heidoscop Rolleinar)
