Rollei 2,8 E 35mm adaptor.

Postby A. Muse » Sat Sep 06, 2008 10:24 pm

I have recently cleared the loft of a deceased relative and unearthed a Rollei 2,8 E (identified thanks to this website). I borrowed this camera and used it some 30 years ago, and forgot about it as I used to use my own Microflex (OK, I will now go and wash my mouth out with soap).

I would like to run a few films through the Rollei before selling it, just to prove that it works and for the fun of it. HOWEVER.... it has a35mm adaptor fitted and I cannot seem to get the film to advance, it is OK with the back off but with the back fitted the transport handle locks solid. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please?

By the way, what is the correct description of the long collapsible black tube that fits over the viewfinder to shade the viewing screen. (I wish I had had one of these years ago)!

Any help would be much appreciated.
