6008i/6003 magazine and 6001 pro

My favourite tool of the trade was the Rolleiflex 6008. The Rolleiflex SLX , 6006 , 6008 and 6002 , including the 6008 AF , all those still very modern Rolleiflexes have their own home in the forum.

Could anyone tell me: is 6008i/6003 magazine fully compatible with rolleiflex 6001 pro body?

Hi,
the "Magazin 6000" (standard for 6008) should work just fine.
The "Magazin 6006" lacks the transmission of ASA/DIN-settings to the camera.
The 6003 should come with a "back", but that will fit the 6001 too.
Best,
Jan

It is not 6008 but 6008 integral magazine. And it has the same part number as 6001 pro magazine. So it's just one and the same thing. I don't know why the seller wrote that it fits 6003. Probably it actually fits 6003, but primarily it is 6008 integral /6001 pro magazine. http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Village/3 ... t-2-1.html

Who knows ...
when I wrote "6008"
I meant: "Any 6008 including 'professional', '1000SRC', 'E', 'integral', 'integral 2, AF' ".

The 6001 came with the same magzine (except when bought in a bundle with the "new" 45x60mm magazine).

The "6003 SRC 1000" came with a back (not transmitting film speed, film speed set on camera). One may mount magazines (film speed set on camera).

The "6003 professional" came with a back transmitting the film speed. When using a magazin the film guiding (or is it gliding?) frame can be exchanged for another version for improved film flatness.

Your 6001 should take any Rollei 6006 or 6000 magazin. In case of using the older 6006 magazin you will have to set the film speed on the camera.

Best,
Jan

Should I use the "film speed dial" available on the 6006 magazine to set the film speed? I have not found anything on the body to set film speed.

And another question concerns the following:
Extract from the manual:

Note for owners of Rolleiflex 6008 SRC 1000:
All interchangeable modules are fully compatible with 6001 pro:

The following accessories are not compatible with 6001 pro:
- SRC/MRC 120

Aren't SRC/MRC 120 the magazines for film 120 ?

Oops, my 6001 is way too deep in the closet ... the other 6008/6003 cameras have a switch/dial for +/- ecposure compensation that is used to set the film speed when using older magazines. The 6001 just has a plate to display the bracketing modes.

The MRC 120 is a cable release, allowing multiple exposures with older cameras (SXL and who knows, but not 6008 integral / 6003 professional and 6001).

So I can't use 6006 magazine on 6001 pro taking into account that 6001 pro does not have a dial for film speed adjustment?

Depends if you are using your 6001's flash meter ... in case you don't use the flash meter, there is no need to tell the camera what kind of film you're shooting.
