Hi,

Most probably a very common question with these cameras... There are to the best of my knowledge 2 principal kinds of battery packs for these cameras: ones pre-packed by Rollei and one where one can put one's own batteries.

1) For the first kind: Is it possible to change the batteries in that one? Or is there a company providing this service ?
2) For the second kind: which kinds of batteries are supported? Will NiMH work or do we have to keep with NiCd? What are the ideal specifications of the batteries (in V and mAh)? Any preferred brand of batteries?

Over time, both color masks for my charger's LEDs went off. My charger now has 2 white signals, and I cannot remember at all how to interpret them Which one is the red and which the green , and how does one read them?

The ones with the "fixed" cells ... you need brutal force to remove the old cells and will have to solder (or better spot weld) the new ones.

In case you can still get NiCads, do get NiCads. Otherwise try to get NiMH of "lowish" capacity.

The lights should be "bulbs" not LEDs. Pics of chargers on eBay or via google pic search should give a clue to "is left right or is green red?".

We should find somebody importing those into Euroland ...
