QBM identification

Is there any known listing of serial nos which would identify QBM types, particularly QBM3 and 1V. I am considering buying a 135 Tele Tessar for use with my SL2000Fand whilst I know that it is an HFT lens with studded grips which would make it a 3 or a 1V neither I nor the seller knows which it is. What exactly does the projecting pin on the lens mount tell the camera, the instruction manual has nothing to say on the matter! If someone could point me in the correct direction it would be much appreciated.

No idea of serial number to get a qbm 4 lens but on this link http://i9.tinypic.com/2eq9xrd.jpg I have put a page of the old rolleiclub where is shown the difference from qbm 3 and 4.
On qbm 3 is missing the groove (shown like E) where the pin of the camera is sensing the lens aperture.
To get the aperture setting visible in the viewfinder of a 2000 or later models you need a qbm 4 lens, qbm1 and qbm 2 are made completly of metal and without any gummy ring outside.

The serial number might be helpful, but look for the QBM 4 notch anyway, or try the lens on a QBM 4 body. Martin Arndt of Marflex converted a number of my QBM 3 lenses a few years ago (using Zeiss parts). Since these are excellent professional lenses, I suspect a fair number of other users might have had their lenses converted from QBM 3 to 4 in the same manner by Marflex, Rollei-Werke, or others.
