The QZs are great cameras, capable of really good results, but suffer from a problem I mentioned in another thread - an eveready case was never available. Like many others, I cherish my Rolleis as collectibles and wish them to remain in good condition, but I also want to use them. In the old days, most cameras cameras came with a good, solid, brown leather eveready case, even cheap Zenits and Agfa Silettes. The camera hung by it's strap on your chest, safe from the elements, and with a flick of popper it was ready to shoot. With it's simple shape the QZ was begging for such a case. Rollei provided ERCs up to the SL35E - after that it was fiddly zipped bags. I'm sure this contributed to the downfall of Rollei in the domestic market.

Rollei started te soft zippered bags with the Rollei 35 ... as not to increase the (bagged) camera's size too much. Some time later demand for a sturdy ERC was felt and it was produced in (at least) two versions. ...
Maybe "Luigi" will be able to provide a solution for QZ-ERC-lovers ;-)
Anybody out there who doesn't know Luigi? Here you go:
