I believe the SL66 and 6000 series cameras share the same interchangable focusing screens. Can anyone confirm which of the TLR camera screens can be interchanged with the SL66.

Also does anyone have a fresnel screen with microprism centre spot that will fit the SL66 for sale?

Thanks

I don't think any of the Rollei TLR screens fit the SL66.

I have a stock SL66 microprism spot, gridded focusing screen if you wish to contact me.

Thanks for the offer Mike, I already use the stock screen - now need one with fresnel field and microprism focusing centre spot.

I am confused :?

The stock SL66 screen is a fresnel field with a microprism centre spot. I have the screen you are asking about.

Hi Mike
So am I....my SL66 screen has a 'ground glass' field - although made of plastic, and the edges of the image are therefore darker than the mid/centre area. I believe this was the standard screen as fitted to my SL66 when new. Can I contact you by email to discuss purchase?

The 2.8 GX and FX screens fit the SL66 and 6000 cameras. I suppose the same goes for the screens of the new wide-ange and tele TLRs.

Ferdi is right, the 6000/Hy6 and GX/FX screens will fit. I myself have the High*D screen installed in mine. It is amazingly bright, though I feel that it is not as contrasty as the groundglass screens used in old view cameras and the like. Nevertheless, I can live with this little lack of contrast in favour of the brightness this screen offers pretty well. Wink

The focus screen of 2.8 GX and FX screens fit the SL66 and 6000 cameras, I have tested High D-Screen on SL66. It ist really great bright just like Benjamin said. I think you should try it. You see a wohle new world through High D-Screen. Really fantastic!!

best regard

I still use one from my father with a Tessar 3,5 and seems me a good quality lens, as GeneW says when stopped down a little. Be careful the mirror is in good condition; my one is deteriorate and with low light it is difficult to check the framing along the borders.
