|
|
Hello all,
I noticed last night when hanging up my Neopan 400 for drying, that the film has uneven spacing between frames (no overlapping). I've seen that other films going through this camera also has the same problem.
Is this normal or is it time to send it off for a repair? |

As long as you are not getting any overlapping I wouldn't worry about the uneven spacing, I have found with Rolleis that this does occur but I am sure its not a fault. I even remember trying out a roll of film in a Hassleblad once and I think even on this camera (not exactly the cheapest of cameras), the film spacing was not dead regular. |

| One of the biggest causes of spacing problems is simply not enough tension on the take-up spool. When you first wind the paper on put your thumb on the lower spool to get a little tension. |

Thank you,
I'll try out the tensioning trick and see what gives. I was just a little afraid it was the first sign of needing a CLA (which it probably would benefit from anyway). Otherwise, I love it, fifty years old and still going strong despite being dropped by its former owner sometime in the past... |
