| How about the vivitar 283? or the 285. Or any other auto thyristor flash. You can get a cheap L flash bracket and use any flash that has a cord. The auto thyristor takes a lot of the thinking out of it. |

I read that a high voltage flash can damage the Rollei. Does anyone know these specs.
WHAT NOT TO USE?
Thanks for the help. |

| I've been using 283's with Rollei (and Canon, Mamiya, Bronica and Minolta) cameras since the 1970's and never had a flash induced problem with any of them. |

I have used my Rolleis a lot with studio strobes. no problem. I think the problem you speak of is for digital cameras.

Whoever wrote that was talking about rather newish electronic Rolleis or about something (s)he didn't know.
Just use "any" flash with your Rolleiflex 3,5F. |
