127 roll film

No example of the with without/newtons rings I'm afraid, but they were an annoying regular occurrance caused by moisture/film being in contact with the glass bed.

The glass is nice invisible (to scanner) means of making sure negs are as flat as they will go which naturally has a knock on postive effect on overall focus of the scan....more so in the centre as film is so rarely perfectly flat.

Worst thing of all is the same enemy as you have in the darkroom: dust! (that's with or without glass)

All bit mute point really as I think you get the glass anyway when you buy the frame, the only downside is that the scanner no longer gives thumbnails and I don;t know why, but what the hell, it improves quality even more as you concentrate on one pic at a time.

Tricky, I bet the thumbnails are related to the holes in the plastic film holder. In each holder the holes are in slightly different positions, I'll bet there is some sub-routine in the software that says "if there is a positive light peak at x,y then it must be 35mm film.." or something like that.

127 film, especially efke100 seems more prone to film curl than others. Now that the subject of ANR glass is here, is it available in larger sizes?

Yes it does curl, but in 120 with that frame is no problem, the 127 is no problem as I tape that to the ANR Glass.....which, as you say is a good question if it is available in other sizes?

If so I'd be interested to know for my 4x5 stuff
